Students will bring an image of their choice to create from (photo, printout or drawing) or use the instructor example. Instruction on safety, materials, color mixing, composition based on image and  under-painting will be provided. This is a beginners class.

Design, carve and print linoleum block prints to cards and matted pictures. Bonus printmaking experience with etched printmaking. Students will have a choice of design. Bring a simple drawing or printout, or choose one provided.

Participants (you don't have to be a lady) will have the opportunity to complete three "bags" using three different techniques. Acrylic paint, alcohol ink and permanent markers will be used to create an upcycled (shop small) bag, a cloth bag and a zippered clutch bag. Dress for a mess!

Participants will have the opportunity to complete two 11" x 14" acrylic paintings. One painting will be a very wet blending technique while the other will use a dryer blending technique. Participants will have the opportunity to complete three holiday themed lights. An upcycled bottle with a battery fairy lights, an upcycled bottle with plug in lights and a jar with a battery votive candle light. Acrylic paints will be used. Want to explore a new hobby in one day without a large monetary and time investment? Then this three hour stained glass private lesson is for you! Explore and see if this is an art form for your future! You’ll learn the beginning basics of stained glass including glass selection, cutting, grinding, copper foiling, soldering and patina. Detailed instruction and handouts will be provided. You’ll make a sun catcher from the following options: heart, angel, elephant, butterfly, hummingbird, cross, dog, cat or flower. All material and supplies will be provided. Dress in old clothing and wear closed-toed shoes. Plan on four to six hours.

Classes are private, 1:1. Please contact IOAA by email at insideout318@gmail.com and Shelley will contact you about your lesson. Suggest contacting a minimum of two weeks before you’d like your lesson. Lessons can’t be scheduled on Mondays.
